Our love story:
Daniel and I went to the same high school but never really spoke to each other. It was when we worked at the same store during sixth form that we got to know each other and became friends. Neither of us had the guts to tell each other how we felt so we were ‘just friends’ for about a year. Finally one of our friends who also worked at the store with us told us to just get together already and told me that he liked me back! So that evening we told each other and the rest was history.
Our engagement story:
It was our 5 year anniversary and Daniel had booked a holiday to Portugal for a long weekend. On the night of our anniversary he wanted to go for a walk to the beach at sunset, I was blissfully unaware of his plans and kept questioning why we had to go to the beach at a specific time, as I was hungry and wanted dinner. We walked along the sand then sat down to watch the sunset. We talked about how good the last 5 years were and about our future and he asked me to marry him and pulled out a ring from his pocket! He is a bit of a jokester so I thought he was messing around so took me a minute to realise what had just happened, I cried and then said yes.

Falling in love with my Catherine Deane outfit:
At first I didn’t think I would find my dress because the styles I had been looking for weren’t on the website, but I was so pleasantly surprised when Lia pulled out the halo gown and it was similar to what I had imagined myself to look like on the day. The fabric was so light that it didn’t feel too big for me.

Bridesmaid Dresses:
My bridesmaids wore floor length forest green dresses, all with individual necklines to compliment everyone’s individual body shapes.
Tell us about your Wedding Venue:
Our venue was Pentney Abbey, a stunning old gatehouse with a separate barn for the reception. It perfectly captured old beauty with modern comfort and decor.
Our Honeymoon:
We went to a hotel in Tenerife which was on the top of a cliff right next to the sea. We spent most of the time at the roof top bar drinking cocktails and watching the waves.
