Meet Our Stockist: Das Brautstuebchen

Steeped in romance and intention, Das Brautstübchen is a bridal boutique designed to create truly meaningful moments for every bride who walks through its doors.

Since taking over the boutique in early 2025, its founder has transformed a long-held passion for bridal fashion into a deeply personal and immersive experience. With years of experience guiding brides on their journey, the space has been reimagined as one that feels warm and modern - a place where emotion, craftsmanship, and connection take centre stage.

Das Brautstübchen offers a setting where brides can slow down, feel at ease, and fully embrace the moment of finding their dream bridal look. With a carefully curated edit that balances clean silhouettes with distinctive details, the boutique reflects a modern, heartfelt approach to bridalwear.

We’re so honoured to have our pieces included in their selection and to be part of the beautiful experiences they create for our brides. We caught up with Sandra to chat about her journey into the world of bridal.

Tell us the story behind your boutique - how did it start, how long have you been open, and what inspired you to start working in the bridal industry?

I took over the Brautstübchen at the beginning of 2025, making my passion for bridal fashion the central focus of my daily life. Since 2018, I've been helping brides find their dream dress, initially alongside my full-time job, but now with all my heart.

Wedding dresses have always fascinated me: the fabrics, the details, and above all, the emotions they evoke. That moment when a bride finds her dress and begins to glow is what makes my work so special.

With the Brautstübchen, I've created a place where brides feel comfortable and can experience their own personal magical moment –  modern, romantic, and filled with heart.

How do you curate the designers in your store - what makes you connect with the brands that you carry?

I naturally choose the designers for my bridal boutique based on how unique I find their designs and whether I believe my brides will love them. Another particularly important point is the quality of support for us as a bridal shop. Do we have a dedicated contact person? Are they always willing to help us, and how kind and friendly are they? Of course, the brand's image is also important to me: what values do they convey, how proactive are their marketing efforts, and do they provide us with good marketing materials? I find all of that at Catherine Deane.

How would you describe the style and atmosphere of your boutique?

The bridal suite is modern and comfortably furnished. We have cosy sofas and spacious areas just for the bride and her attendants. We've decorated with dried flowers, but otherwise, the decor is minimal. The shop speaks for itself. We have beautiful rooms with high ceilings and stucco work, and one of our dressing areas even has a glass dome in the ceiling. This creates a truly special atmosphere. We place great importance on making our brides feel comfortable and at home. For example, they take off their shoes at the entrance and put on slippers or socks. The feedback we receive reflects this. Our brides feel completely at ease and at home, and they are always absolutely thrilled with the beautiful boutique.

What do you love most about working with brides?

I love the joy and the sparkle in the bride's eyes when she finds her dress. And I especially love it when women who can't imagine themselves looking good in a wedding dress suddenly realise how beautiful they are. Those are truly magical and often quiet moments. It's as if the world stands still for a second. I love that so much.

What is one piece of advice you give your brides during their wedding dress shopping journey?

Trust your instincts, enjoy the moment, and don't overthink it. Finding your wedding dress is about feeling, and those who research too much beforehand and have a rigid plan for what the dress should be like and how the feeling should be might be so focused that they miss the moment and the feeling itself. Just enjoy it and feel it.

What bridal trends or styles are inspiring you right now?

I like clean styles, but also dresses with something special (3D flowers, pearls, etc.) and those that are versatile.

Do you have a favourite Catherine Deane piece/s? Tell us what draws you to this garment/s.

I absolutely love the Bae Gown. It's so beautiful. So light, and with the pearls. Simply dreamy. But I also love the Ryo Jumpsuit. It's so beautiful and simple and can be combined so well with Catherine Deane tops, like for instance the Monique Top - simply dreamy. But there are many more wonderful pieces of Catherine Deane…

What is one thing you think brides absolutely must have on their wedding day (this could be anything from a make-up item, to a trinket, to a song - anything goes!)

A professional photographer. You'll look at these pictures for a lifetime, so they shouldn't be taken with a cell phone or by a so-called amateur. If you try to save money here, you'll regret it in the end.

Are there any exciting dreams or opportunities you are looking forward to in the future for you and your boutique?

In the future, I would also like to offer my own designs. That would be my dream.
