Tucked away in Nordhorn, Germany, as a thoughtfully curated bridal concept store, Nur Mit Liebe was founded with a vision to offer something different for modern brides.
Celebrating 3 years of serving their brides this May, the space is the natural evolution of its founder’s long-standing journey in the wedding and fashion industries. The result is a bridal experience that feels deeply personal, fashion-focused, and intentionally curated. Nur Mit Liebe champions personalised care, exquisite design and craftsmanship - creating a truly unique experience for the brides who walk through their doors.
We’re honoured to have our pieces included in their edit and to be part of the inspiring experience they create for their brides. Read on to discover more about the story behind the boutique and the philosophy that shapes it.
Tell us the story behind your boutique - how did it start, how long have you been open, and what inspired you to start working in the bridal industry?
I opened my boutique on May 2nd, 2023, but my journey in the wedding industry started long before that. I originally trained as a photographer and specialised in weddings, which gave me the chance to experience this special day from a very personal perspective. Later, I studied fashion design and worked for several years alongside my studies, and eventually full-time, for a German bridal fashion label. After that, I worked as an Art Director in fashion before starting my own business.
Being part of the wedding world for so long has allowed me to see many different brides and styles. Over time, I realised that bridal fashion could be so much more than traditional tulle and lace. With my bridal concept store, I wanted to create a space for modern brides who are looking for something a little more fashion-forward.
Today, I combine my two passions, fashion and photography, by accompanying my brides not only as a bridal stylist, but sometimes even as their photographer, all the way to the moment they walk down the aisle.
How do you curate the designers in your store - what makes you connect with the brands that you carry?
For me, it’s very important that the brides who visit my store understand where the designs they are trying on come from. I want them to see that every piece is still true craftsmanship and not mass production. Each dress carries the vision, creativity, and work of the designer behind it.
I also place a strong focus on the quality of the materials and the overall feel of the garments. The brands I choose are those that share my appreciation for thoughtful design, beautiful fabrics, and a modern approach to bridal fashion.
I love working with designers who create pieces that feel special, intentional, and truly unique for the bride wearing them.
How would you describe the style and atmosphere of your boutique?
The boutique is designed as a very private and personal space. For every appointment, the store is reserved exclusively for the bride and her loved ones, creating a calm and intimate atmosphere. This allows us to dedicate our full attention and expertise to each bride during her appointment. Together we explore different styles, try on a variety of looks, and take the time to find what truly feels right for her. The goal is for her to leave feeling completely comfortable and confident in her choice.
The store itself is designed in a minimalist, elegant, and modern way. It doesn’t feel crowded or overwhelming, but rather carefully curated and intentional. That sense of thoughtful selection is exactly what we stand for and what our brides come to us for.
What do you love most about working with brides?
What I love most about working with brides is being part of such a special and emotional moment in their lives. During the appointment, we take the time to really get to know each other, explore different styles, and find the look that truly feels like her.
I love seeing how a bride’s confidence grows throughout the process, from trying on different pieces to the moment she suddenly knows she has found the one. It’s a very personal experience, and being able to guide her through it, support her, and sometimes even accompany her further as a photographer makes my work incredibly meaningful.
What is one piece of advice you give your brides during their wedding dress shopping journey?
One piece of advice I always give my brides is to remember that it’s their day. You are the one getting married, so you are the one who gets to decide what you want to wear.
Don’t question whether a bridal suit is “festive enough” or whether your look might be too much for the style of your wedding. If it feels right to you, then it’s the perfect choice. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, confident, and truly like yourself.
At the end of the day, your partner is marrying you because they love you, not because of what you’re wearing. If you feel amazing in your look, that’s all that really matters.
What bridal trends or styles are inspiring you right now?
Because I personally love fashion, I follow a lot of runway shows, not only bridal but also ready-to-wear and couture. I always say that the basic foundations of design already exist, so it’s not about reinventing them completely, but about reinterpreting them through styling, textures, statement pieces, and the trends of the moment.
Right now, I’m very inspired by what we’re seeing in the upcoming 2027 collections. There is a lot of delicate lace returning, and corset lacing is also becoming more present again. Another silhouette that is having a big moment is the low basque waist, which we are seeing not only in bridal fashion but in the wider fashion world.
It’s exciting to see how these elements are being reimagined to create modern, fashion-forward bridal looks
Do you have a favourite Catherine Deane piece/s? Tell us what draws you to this garment/s.
One of our favourite pieces in the store is always the
Alexis Trouser. No matter the bride’s shape or size, these trousers always flatter any shape beautifully. The pleating and the wide waistband hug the hips in just the right way, creating a flattering silhouette.
We also love the practical, yet stylish pockets, which give these trousers an extra cool vibe. Pairing it with the
Peyton Blazer makes for a perfectly modern, chic bridal look that our brides can’t get enough of.
What is one thing you think brides absolutely must have on their wedding day?
The most important thing a bride can have on her wedding day is a good friend by her side who can support her emotionally and mentally throughout the day. Whether she’s feeling nervous, a little overwhelmed, or just needs a quick snack, this friend is there to think ahead and take care of little details so the bride doesn’t have to worry.
Having someone like this allows the bride to truly relax and enjoy every moment of her day, knowing she’s supported and looked after.
P.S. To all the friends taking on this role, I’ve been there too, and yes, it can be a little exhausting, but one day the bride will do the same for you, and you’ll both laugh, cry and feel all the love.
Are there any exciting dreams or opportunities you are looking forward to in the future for you and your boutique?
I am always excited to continue supporting smaller labels on their journey because I know how much time and work go into designing something unique. Working with creative designers I admire inspires me every day. One day, I hope to explore creating my own pieces again, but for now, I feel lucky to share and celebrate the beautiful work of the talented designers I carry in my boutique.
