Dan proposed in the evening on a secluded beach in our favourite place, whilst on holiday in Dubai.
Our love story:
We met in the Summer of 2013 at a music festival in Liverpool. Our eyes met across the room in a quirky bar called Santa Chupito’s! With Jade in the North and Dan in the South, we made it work long distance for a while until we finally settled down in Cheshire and got our little dog, Gus!

Falling in love with my Catherine Deane gown:
I realized early on that finding a wedding dress to suit my style was going to be difficult. I like a simple cut with a timeless feel and the Sidney gown ticked all my boxes. I fell in love with the keyhole detail and button in the back and the slit provided the perfect modern contrast.
Did you go to a CD showroom or purchase your gown online? Tell us about this experience:
Our wedding was relaxed from start to finish! I purchased the Sidney gown straight from the website. The team was excellent and even provided my tiara from Halo and Co as a gift.
Tell us about your Wedding Venue:
We got married in the iconic St George’s Hall in Liverpool, a stunning venue offering a true sense of the city that is so close to our hearts. The impressive exterior and ornate gardens offered the perfect backdrop for our photographs. This was followed by the wedding breakfast with 30 of our closest family and friends in The Florist, one of our favourite restaurants, set in the Georgian Quarter of the city in a Grade II listed building.
Wedding style:
Relaxed and contemporary with a subtle floral boho vibe. Our colour palette was dusty pinks and neutrals.
Our photographer:
Viola Jay Photography did an incredible job and delivered our request for natural and relaxed photographs. We had a pre-wedding shoot with her on the beach in April when we got to know her, meaning we were completely relaxed in front of the camera on the wedding day. We loved that Viola is a woman of many talents and somehow manages to be a wedding photographer and look after patients as a nurse in general practice. She truly captured the love on our wedding day and as well as our family and friends she showcased our dog, Gus!
Our Honeymoon destination:
Our honeymoon was truly spectacular. We spent a week in Seychelles in a secluded cliff-top villa at the Constance Ephelia resort. We finished our wedding celebrations back where it all started with a week in our favourite hotel in Dubai, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf.
Our most memorable moment:
We will never forget the moment our eyes met as I walked down the aisle to Turning Page by Sleeping At Last. A close second place was seeing our dog Gus in his suit!
Our funniest moment:
The Father of the Bride managed to conceal a literal slice of toast all day (including throughout the ceremony!), to be able to deliver a one-liner during his speech when “making toast”!
